PHS Teacrate Appoints New Business Development Manager to Spearhead New Packaging Service

Crate rental company PHS Teacrate has appointed Simon Johns to spearhead its new packaging service for the removals industry.   Simon has spent the last 14 years working in the packaging industry for a leading supplier, starting as a sales representative before becoming National Sales Manager in 1998.  During that time he helped the company become a major force in packaging for the removals sector.

Simon has always been involved in the moving business, his first job after leaving school at 17 was as a porter working for David Dale Removals in Harrogate.   Since then he has achieved a certificate in Removals Estimating, a NVQ Level 5 in Management, and educated to degree level in Business and Finance, he is also a member of The Moving Institute (TMI).

“It was a tough decision leaving my old company after so long,” said Simon.   “But it’s a great opportunity for me to use all my experience and I’m looking forward to the challenge.  Teacrate is a great company and adding the packaging service will give our customers a one-stop-shop for everything they need.  I’ll be working hard to make sure they get the service they deserve.”

Simon lives in Hull and his hobbies include skiing, painting, and his great passion, rugby.   He once played for England as a schoolboy and later for Leeds Colts, these days though, at the ripe old age of 35, he restricts his involvement to spectating.
